NOTE: I no longer work with people whose primary goal for coaching is to quit drinking. For support with early alcohol sobriety, I recommend Whitney Combs coaching.

What we can cover in 60 minutes:

I am a hybrid life coach, transition coach, advisor, and mentor with over a decade of experience helping folks who are stuck or in major life transition move forward toward greater clarity, joy, and life satisfaction.

I work with my clients on a range of issues and support them in a number of areas, from work and career transitions, relationships, creating boundaries, refining attention and priorities, navigating loss of purpose or motivation, finding joy, developing self-worth, and transitioning to slower and more offline/community-based lives, all the way to assisting with creative projects, content planning, and business strategy. I also help folks in the process of reconceptualizing their recovery.

In our hour together, I draw on my wealth of experience (see below) to ask piercing questions to get right to the heart of the matter and help you reframe blocks, uncover patterns, and find a way forward toward a more joyous and authentic life.

I have a strong and proven track record of helping folks move out of what feels impossible and broken and stuck into greater clarity and flow.

You can use me to ask a question or pick my brain for:

  • Life coaching or spot coaching for a specific issue

  • Creative or business advising

  • Co-creation/second brain—someone to think through something you already have most of the answers to but are looking for support or feedback on

  • Book proposals or the proposal process

  • General advice

  • Help with writing questions, content development, or audience building

  • Creating boundaries in your work and general life

  • Goal setting, planning, strategy, and accountability

  • Values and alignment work

  • Career/identity/major life transition (complex transitions)

  • Navigating burnout/loss of motivation, existential crisis/loss of purpose

  • Evolving your recovery/reconsidering your recovery (see FAQ at bottom regarding this)

  • Leaving social media

  • Questions only I can answer?

  • Whatever is on your mind!

Who are these sessions for / what to expect / other relevant information about me:

Who is this for?

It’s hard to answer, Who is this for? but it’s usually for folks who are familiar with my work somewhat and who are looking for dynamic support they’re not getting through other avenues. Typically, people who work with me don’t have a perfectly logical reason why; they often have a gut feeling that I can help them with what they’re struggling with or need advice or guidance or a second brain on.

My clients work on a range of issues, goals, and projects. Most are at some kind of crossroads in multiple or converging areas (career/vocation, relationship structure, other major loss such as identity, marriage, motivation) recovery, aging) or endeavoring new creative projects, or are simply burnt out and at a loss for where to go next.

What to expect

I’ve had a wide range of professional and general life experiences that give me a unique perspective and skill set that combine to provide a very specific offering that will speak clearly to some (and not at all to others!).

I ask a few questions prior to each session to get clarity on your issue, questions, or project, and then we spend our time digging in on whatever it is. At the end of each session, we’ll recap major points and go over action items, suggested practices, and/or next steps.

While I use a lot of evidence-based practices in my work and my work is trauma-informed, these sessions are not intended to act as therapy in any regard—they are not listening sessions but rather co-creative sessions that are action-oriented and outcome-based. Clients should be supported otherwise and not seeking me out as a primary form of emotional support, bring their own tools, and be clear that the point of these sessions is for you to gain clarity, identify steps forward, have a partner in problem solving, and sometimes receive advice—not for me to provide deep emotional support or offer any other form of deep work that resembles therapy or therapeutic methods.

If you have any questions about whether or not this is for you, email us at contact@hollywhitaker.com.

Other relevant information

I’m a published author and currently make a living as a writer (of books and on Substack), coach, and adviser. I’m a former health care executive, CEO/founder, entrepreneur/small business owner, podcaster, fundraiser, advisor to startups/entrepreneurs, and more.

I’ve also had some specific experiences—becoming a NYT bestseller, stepping down as CEO of a company I founded, dealing with the pressure of going viral and the fleeting celebrity it brings, raising money as a female founder, being a female founder/executive, weathering cancellation, moving away from being an influencer and using social media, writing through a major life transition, moving to the country from the city and moving more offline, and having to follow up a pretty successful first book to name just a few.

In a former life. I was a sobriety and recovery coach and worked in a 1-to-1 setting with dozens. and 1-to-many setting with thousands in this capacity. I have deep experience in coaching folks and am extremely good at what I do—coaching is one of my zones of excellence.

Praise and feedback:

“I feel like a whole other person after one hour with you.”

— S.C., client

“Holly’s coaching radically changed my life in just about every conceivable area. She didn’t coach me on how to have a ‘better’ life, she taught me how to make my life easier and more rewarding by working with, instead of against, my particular brain, heart, and soul.”

— T.L., client

"The best thing about working with Holly is how quickly she is able to cut through the bullshit. When you are in the middle of a major life transition, it is easy to fall back into old patterns. Holly challenges if the old pattern is true. I accomplished A LOT in a short period of time, and she was exactly what I needed.”

- Kimberly Tableman, CEO Espero Health

"Holly has an unbelievable quality to see the truth in people. To see through layers and protections and guards, to cut through the crap and see what's really going on. This is such a powerful gift for someone working with people's emotional scars in the way she does."

- (Anon, former client in recovery-based work)

Cost, other:

  • The investment for each 1-hour session is $350

  • I don’t offer packages, but clients can book multiple sessions (you can create a longer coaching package by booking out in advance, that allows us to work together on bigger problems)

  • I offer longer sessions; we can discuss this after our first 1:1

  • There are no discounts on this service due to the costs involved on my end. The one-hour session rate of $350 is significantly lower than my previous coaching packages, which ranged from $1,500 to $2,000 per month for two sessions and in-between support (about $750 to $1000 for an hour). I’ve set the price of $350/hour to be somewhat more accessible while ensuring that I can sustain my livelihood and maintain a balanced workload. Since I work with a maximum of four individuals per week, the rate reflects both the value of the work and the need to honor my capacity—I invest deeply in these sessions and am mindful not to overextend myself. That said, I offer two sessions a month at $200, you can email contact@hollywhitaker.com
